Underfloor Heating for Laminate

Laminate flooring is a great match for electric underfloor heating. Laminate not only offers warmth and comfort underfoot, but it’s also durable and easy to install with heating mats or cables. This makes electric underfloor heating a smart and economical solution for keeping your space cosy. Remember to pick thin, dense laminate for quicker heat-up and check with your flooring manufacturer about compatibility to avoid any warranty issues.

We have a variety of electric underfloor heating for laminate flooring, including sticky mats, loose cables, and foil mats. Sticky mats and loose cables are mostly used with tiles and stone surfaces, but they can also be used with laminate flooring with a 10mm layer of a levelling compound.

The foil mat is perfect for laminate or floating floors, ensuring a consistent and even heat distribution without the need for levelling compounds. The power output of foil mats is 140 W per square metre. Foil mats are also suitable for luxury vinyl tile, lino, and low-tog carpets when used with our Heat Pak Dual overlay. The lower the tog value, the more efficient your underfloor heating will be, with a higher output and a shorter warm-up time. This is because neither carpet nor underlay are good heat conductors. The maximum recommended combined tog for carpet and underlay is 2.5. You can find out the tog value from your carpet retailer or manufacturer.
