Drainage Cell Applications

Our Nero Cell drainage systems provide the perfect solution for grassy areas, green roofs, planter boxes and drainage under paved areas. The system can also be used as an underdrain for high ground water tables. 

The 30mm Nero Drainage Cell provides a uniform surface for effective draining of excessive water during heavy rainfalls. The unique cup structure provides water retention for passive irrigation and allows vegetation to flourish. 

These cells are commonly used as an underdrain, to capture and discharge rising ground water - with high load bearing capacity and a 95% internal void surface ratio the cells are the ideal solution for parking lots, roads and building lots affected by high groundwater.

Nero Cell 30mm is also perfect for use under sports fields where water can be infiltrated, collected, transported and re-used where required.

Permeable Surface with Minimal Maintenance

Nero Pave allows you to create a permeable grassed surface for parking or driving. With it's high load bearing capacity while also protecting vegetation from compaction. A high void ratio (95%) means lots of space for root development and stormwater infiltration meaning that surfaces installed with Nero Pave can reduce or eliminate the need for more traditional stormwater structures. 

Nero Pave also allows a permeable gravel surface for parking and driving. The structure of the paving provides the perfect containment of gravel meaning that extensively used parking surfaces can be maintenance free.

Access lanes and fire roads also need to be constructed of a hard, all-weather surface capable of supporting the heaviest of emergency services vehicles and all its equipment. The high confined crush strength of our permeable paving offers a fast, economically feasible and proven solution to fire lanes and access lane construction.

TCS Geotechnics

We also offer a wide range of permeable paving and ground stabilisations solutions from TCS Geotechnics, including:

• TechGrid Biaxial Geogrids - these polypropylene grids interlock, and when combined with granular fill help to cut aggregate use and spread loads over weak ground. We offer three strength grades to cover driveways, pathways, access roads, car parks, haul roads and industrial yards
• Core Drive, BodPave85 & BodPave40 - a series of interlocking recycled HDPE grids for permeable, load-bearing surfaces. When filled with gravel, these prevent  migration and erosion, as well as reducing flooding. The range covers gravel driveways (Core Drive), heavy-duty grass parking (BodPave 85) and occasional-use areas (BodPave 40).
• TechCell Geocellular Confinement Panels - these polyethylene geocells expand into a load-bearing honeycomb to help stabilise weak ground and reduce accregate use. The four available depths are suitable for a variety of installations from light landscaping up to heavily trafficked areas.
