Undefloor Heating Under Lino

Lino flooring and electric underfloor heating are a perfect match. Lino is thinner than tiles, which means that when choosing underfloor heating systems, you may need less power to heat it up. It's important to take into account the size, insulation, and heating level of the room to ensure that the heating system is a good fit for Lino flooring and doesn't cause it to overheat.

Lino can only withstand a certain temperature, so we recommend consulting with your flooring manufacturer about compatibility and picking a heating system that lets you adjust the temperature accurately.

We have three different electric underfloor heating systems suitable for lino flooring: sticky mats, loose cables, and foil mats. When the power output is 150W and installed within a 10mm layer of levelling compound, sticky mats and loose cables can work well on Lino. Our foil mats have a power of 140W per m2 and are compatible with lino when used with our Heat Pak Dual Overlay.
