Decking Screws

Decking screws can be used for fastening timber to timber, or timber decking to joists most commonly. They are a type of woodscrew with countersunk heads. These decking screws are supplied with a green organic plating finish, which prolongs the life of the screw by providing additional weather resistance.

Our range of countersunk decking screws (often abbreviated to CSK) can be recessed and filled over if a hidden fixing is required, making them incredibly versatile for a range of projects. In fact, they are usually used when no part of the screw head is required to protrude above the level of the substrate.

Decking screws were originally developed as an alternative to traditional coach screws, and the deep single thread design of the decking screws promotes precise insertion and reduced splitting, even when working close to the timber edge.
