USING THE CORRECT SIZE WASTE PIPE
40mm Waste should be used on Baths, Showers, Kitchen Sinks, Washing Machines & Dishwashers. Some commercial urinals also use 40mm waste.
32mm Waste should be used on washbasins, vanity basins and standard urinals.
50mm Waste should be used for a collection of pipe runs or for commercial applications where flows are larger.
INSTALLATION OF PUSH FIT WASTE
Simply ensure that the pipe is cut squarely with no sharp edges or burrs, and push it into the fitting. You should always ensure that a 10mm gap is left between pipes in a push fit joint for the expansion purposes. If you are using pipe clips they should be spaced 1.2m apart vertically and 500mm apart horizontally.
COMPATIBILITY OF PUSH FIT WASTE SYSTEMS
We would not recommend mixing and matching Push Fit systems from different manufacturers. If you need to connect to another system we would always recommend the use of our multi-fit compression system, which has greater tolerance to allow connection to different types of plastic and to most metals. Push Fit waste pipes or fittings are not compatible with our ABS Solvent Weld System, which requires the use of solvent cement to make the joints.
