Product Overview
Our Freefoam Dark Grey Smooth Hollow Soffit Boards are 300mm wide, 10mm thick uPVC profiles supplied in 5 metre lengths. The hollow soffit boards are designed to close off and protect the underside of roof overhangs, providing a neat wood-effect appearance while remaining low maintenance. The hollow construction keeps each board lightweight and easy to handle, making them suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects.
Hollow soffit boards are non load bearing and intended purely for cosmetic closure of the eaves. Hollow soffit is not recommended for use on external cladding applications, as the profile is not designed to perform as a cladding product.
For a clearer understanding of how soffit boards fit within the overall roofline, please see our short video which explains each component in the system.

Installation Guide
Fitting Options
These hollow soffit boards can be fitted in 2 ways:
- Lengthways along the eaves
- Cut into short sections and installed side by side with the grooves running back to the wall (the most common method)
Coverage When Using Short Sections
To work out how far one 5 metre board will run along the wall:
- Measure the soffit gap in millimetres (fascia to wall).
- Divide 5000mm by this number to find how many short pieces you can cut.
- Multiply that number by 300mm (board width) to calculate wall coverage.
Example: Soffit width 200mm - 5000/200 = 25 pieces - 25 x 300 = 7500mm. One board covers 7.5 metres along the wall.
Fixing Method
- Secret fix through the tongue using 30mm pins or countersunk screws
- Boards interlock to form a clean finish
- Add separate soffit ventilation if required
- Not suitable for load-bearing or external cladding applications
