How To Replace A Broken Gutter Bracket

A step-by-step guide showing how to replace a broken gutter bracket.

  1. To release a piece of guttering, hold the clip and ease it towards you. Once this has been completed on every clip, push the gutter forward so that it rolls out from the clips.
  2. Replacing the fascia bracket is not a difficult job, but first you need to remove the old one by unscrewing the 1 or 2 screws that keep it in place.
  3. Ensuring you don’t trap the roofing felt, line up the new bracket so that the screws match up with the previous holes.
  4. Using a drill, secure the new screws into the previous holes.
  5. To install the new piece of guttering, insert the back edge first, up under the roofing tile. Then, spin the gutter back down in to position.
  6. Line up insertion marks in the fittings then pull the gutter down. The clips click into place and should secure the gutter.
