Carpet Underfloor Heating

Electric underfloor heating for carpets is a smart and efficient way to heat your home, as it delivers heat from the floor upwards, creating a consistent and comfortable temperature in the room. However, you need to ensure that your carpet and underlay are not too dense or insulating, as they might prevent the heat from reaching the room. The tog rating of the carpet and underlay should be low enough to allow the heat to pass through.

We have three different electric underfloor heating systems specially designed for carpet floors: sticky mats, loose cables, and foil mats.

The sticky mat and loose cable kits are thin and easy to install. With a 150W power output system, they are ideal for carpets with underlay (Max Tog 2.5 Combined) and can be installed within a 10mm levelling compound.

Foil mats are ideal for low log carpet floor types, and compatible with vinyl (luxury vinyl tile), or lino floor finish when installed with our Heat Pak Dual overlay. The foil mats have a power output of 140W per square metre, ensuring that the floor remains at a safe temperature without any risk of overheating.
