UPVC Roofline Installation - PDF
Take a look at our leaflet on installation tips for UPVC roofline components, in refurbishment and new build replacement projects.
The Standard 18mm UPVC Fascia stocked by PVC Cladding is a durable, rigid board with a weatherproof outer skin which can be fixed directly to the rafter ends without the need for a timber backing board. This makes it an ideal product for use both in new build projects and for installations that involve replacement of the existing fascia boards.
The durability of this popular range of Replacement Fascia comes from the combination of a cellular core and an impermeable surface skin. This, coupled with the rigidity that comes from a thickness of 18mm, makes these UPVC Fascia Boards the ideal replacement for traditional timber fascia.
The strength of the 18mm PVC Fascia range means that it will support the weight of the guttering system without the need for additional bracing.
The impermeable outer skin ensures the boards are weather resistant and are also protected against nesting insects, resulting in fascia which is very low maintenance.
As well as being climatically robust and impregnable, our 18mm PVC Fascia comes in a high gloss finish which is free of blemishes, producing an elegant look to the roofline.
You will find the following video helpful if this is your first time working with PVC Fascia systems, as it gives a very brief overview of which elements go where and explains the key terms that are used.
In this range we stock White, Anthracite Grey, Black Ash, Golden Oak and Rosewood.
The Replacement Fascia stocked by PVC Cladding carries a 10 year guarantee in relation to product performance and discolouration, and are Class 1 fire rated in accordance with British Standards.
The follwowing video explains how fascia boards are measured.
All Replacement Fascia Boards should be fixed to the rafter ends using 2 x 65mm Polytop nails spaced no more than 600mm apart (400mm for Woodgrain).
